So when it comes to color I may be on the extreme side - but I’m ok with that.  Bringing passion and life to everything I do - be it a space, a dress, a piece of art or furniture - is something I feel strongly about, and what says passion better than COLOR?! It can make a space, whether it's by overloading, or using the contrast of neutrals like black, white and grey to make a single color or item stand out. If you live in a teeny tiny closet of an apartment, or a sprawling mansion, color can be used to make your space feel warm, welcoming, and well, perfect really. Check out a few fav images below:

LOVE LOVE LOVE this living room of Sister Jane founder, Bea Deza. Blue may be my favorite color, but in this scene, what makes it work is all the OTHER colors around it. The white (YES white is a color!), the pink, the orange, the red - they all play against that gorgeous turquoise, setting it off and letting it shine. And by the way, whoever said patterns can't be layered clearly hadn't seen this stunning display.

Whether you love bright, bold colors, or prefer to use your neutrals, the way color impacts us is an essential part of creating a beautiful space, as well as creating a space that is reflective of those that occupy it. I don’t believe that every interior needs to be covered in color, but I do believe that EVERY interior needs to have the colors that reflect the people who will live there, and the kind of life they want to have. Color is a tool - we need to use it!
